I'M sOFIA.

I'm the Illustration, writer and professional kobold wrangler behind The Kobold Guild.

I create art for imaginary worlds, including character illustrations, creatures, maps, covers, TTRPG books and colourful visual bits for people with ideas that refuse to stay quietly in their heads.

The Kobold Guild is part portfolio, part shop, part tiny fantasy publishing house, and part excuse for me to draw strange creatures and call it work.

A LITTLE ABOUT ME

ARTIST. WRITER. MAKER OF STRANGE THINGS.

I have always been the kind of person who gets a little too invested in fictional people.

The Kobold Guild grew out of that. It became the place where all the things I love making could sit together: illustration, writing, graphic design, tabletop books, fantasy maps, weird little jokes, dramatic titles and the occasional kobold causing problems in the corner.

I create artwork and design for people who are building worlds of their own. That might be a D&D character, monster, a map, a cover or a logo for a small business that wants to look memorable

A common thread is strorytelling. I want the finished piece to feel like it has a life outside the page.

The Kobold Guild has grown from a pile of ideas into a small creative studio with published TTRPG work, client commissions, fantasy maps, digital downloads and a growing collection of illustrated chaos.

I write, illustrate and design tabletop resources under The Kobold Guild, from player options and adventures to strange little supplements that started as “what if?” and then became full projects.

I make art for other people’s worlds

I’ve created character art, creature designs, maps, covers and fantasy illustrations for players, writers, game masters and independent creators.

I also do graphic design

Alongside the fantasy art, I create logos, patterns, social graphics, brand assets and other visual pieces for small businesses and creative people who want their work to feel like them.

I keep it human-made

Everything here is made by a real person. No generative AI artwork, no prompt-and-print shortcut, no pretending the process is magic when it is mostly sketching, problem-solving and occasionally muttering at layers.

ART SHOULD FEEL LIKE SOMEONE MADE IT

I do not think good art is just about making something look polished. It;s about the details that make a piece feel alive.
The tiny design choices that makes someone say, “Yes. That’s it. That’s them.”

I like making work that feels personal, thoughtful and a little bit weird in the best way. I want people to feel like their idea has been listened to, understood and turned into something that could not belong to anyone else.

I didn't arrive here by one neat, sensible road. My background sits somewhere between writing, education, marketing, design and a lifetime of being unable to leave creative projects alone.

Now I bring all of that together here: illustration, writing, publishing, maps, brand assets and enough fantasy nonsense to justify the name.

WHY KOBOLDS?

BECAUSE EVERY GOOD STORY NEEDS A LITTLE CHAOS.

Kobolds are small, dramatic, resourceful and very good at collecting things they probably should not have. Which is so relatable.

The Kobold Guild is built around that same idea of collecting shiny creative things: art, books, maps, monsters, characters, and strange ideas. It's playful, but it's not careless. Behind the colour and chaos is a real creative practice built on storytelling, collaboration and craft.

The artwork you see here is made by me. That matters because art isn't just the final image. It's the choices, the process, the messages, the franic redrawing and the little details that make it yours.

I believe creative work should have people behind it. People you can talk to and share opinions, mistakes and jokes with. IT's that relationship that add life into the art.
